Intern / Practicum Student

Success On The Spectrum is a national ABA franchise with a dedication to quality. Our model combines the most effective methods of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) science, a fun environment, community outings, safety, and high parent involvement to children who have ASD. Success On The Spectrum is an approved practicum site for Purdue Global, Florida Institute of Technology, Capella University and Nova Southeastern University.

We are looking for an organized, energetic intern who is seeking full-time employment assisting our BCBAs. You must have good communication skills and a salesman-like enthusiasm, as you will be working directly with our client’s parents.

Each BCBA is assisted by an intern and has a max caseload of 13 clients. You will be trained to do everything that the BCBA does and supervised by them when you work. We can’t emphasize enough how vital your abilities of attention to detail are in this role, as you must adhere to the pre-authorized service schedule and properly document every service provided.

Success On The Spectrum is growing quickly, and we can accelerate your career faster than any other company you will ever work for. Once you graduate, there is a lot of opportunity for you to move up to as a BCBA at newly opening locations. Being part of a franchise also gives you the option of transferring to a different location, in the event that you need to move away. Job Description:

Work In Center Monday - Friday 7:45am - 4:30pm.
Once per week, supervise in-home clients 4:30pm - 6:30pm.
Perform Assessments (VB-Mapp, AFLS, Social Skills Solutions, etc).
Create Individualized, research-based client programs.
Analyze client progress and update programs as needed.
Weekly parent training meetings and progress updates.
Supervise RBTs.
Weekly staff meetings and quarterly in-service trainings.
Insurance correspondence (pre-auth requests).

Qualifications/Requirements:

Minimum Bachelor's Degree and enrolled in a Masters program leading toward certification in behavior analysis.
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree.
No criminal background.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Able to lift at least 40 pounds, to sit on the floor, and to be physically active.

Abide by all ethical guidelines set forth by the BACB.
Maintains client privacy in accordance with HIPAA laws.
Maintain the clinic's reputation for an organized, team environment.

Behave professionally with all staff members, clients, and caregivers.

Reporting Hierarchy:

Report to the CEO.
Report to Regional Director.
Report to Clinical Director.
Report to BCBA.

Benefits:

Salary $22.00/hr - $23.00/hr (depending on experience).
