Clinical Compliance Coordinator
Position Summary:
The Clinical Compliance Coordinator oversees compliance with Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network (DWIHN) Medicaid requirements and ensures all clinical and administrative practices align with state, federal, and payer regulations. This role supports quality assurance, staff training, and risk management across two ABA learning centers while serving as the main compliance liaison with DWIHN.
Monday-Friday 7:30-4:00pm. 30-minutes unpaid lunch.
$20.00-$24.00 per hour, 40 hours a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee compliance with Medicaid and DWIHN contractual requirements, ensuring policies and procedures are up to date and followed across both centers.
- Conduct internal audits of documentation, billing, and service delivery; coordinate external audits; and manage corrective action plans.
- Provide compliance-related training and support to clinical and administrative staff, ensuring consistency in documentation, ethical standards, and Medicaid requirements.
- Identify and address compliance risks, investigate concerns, and ensure timely reporting of incidents, grievances, or suspected fraud/waste/abuse.
- Serve as the primary contact with DWIHN for compliance matters, communicating updates to SOS leadership and collaborating with clinical teams on continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintain accurate compliance documentation, reports, and credentialing requirements, ensuring EHR and billing practices meet payer standards.
- Support Administrative Office needs including employee documentation, client documentation, service coordination, and clerical responsibilities, as applicable.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 1-3 years of experience in healthcare compliance, behavioral health, or ABA services.
- Knowledge of Medicaid regulations, with preference for DWIHN experience.
- Strong skills in auditing, risk management, organization, and communication.
Preferred:
- Experience with DWIHN clinical compliance and familiarity with EHR/billing systems.
